Where can you shop for local honey, seafood, crafts, and baked goods downtown? Great question, we would love to tell you — The Boston Public Market. Located next to the Rose Kennedy Greenway and steps from Faneuil Hall at 100 Hanover St., the year-round marketplace has been providing access to over 30 local vendors since 2001. |

If you have been, you know it supports our community’s small businesses with something for everyone + indoor and outdoor community-style seating so anyone can take a seat at the table. If you haven’t been before, think of it like an indoor farmers market with locally sourced food + artisan crafts to shop.
Hungry for more? There is also a variety of food options, including Bon Me, Union Square Donuts, Beantown Pastrami (City Editor Sara recommends the reuben with pastrami), George Howell Coffee, and Mo' Rockin Fusion just to name a few.
What’s new at the market?
Seven Hills Pasta Co. is serving up fresh pasta and lunch specials (City Editor Jess recommends the pesto pasta special.)
Craving bibimbap and other Korean specialties? Perillas recently opened at the market after closing the Bow Market location.
The newest addition is The Pine Bar, a full service bar located in the center of the market (across from Q’s Nuts) and serving local beer and cocktails made with New England products.
Bonus: The first 50 guests to stop by tomorrow will receive a $2 coupon to shop anywhere in the market. |
|
|
What’s going on at the market?
Shop the market’s seasonal Dewey Square Farmers Market on Thursdays from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Plus, tickets are on sale for the Oyster Festival on Sun., June 26. Pro tip: the market has tours and tastings on Fridays at 11 a.m. See the full calendar of events here.
How do I get there? 100 Hanover St. is right above the Haymarket Station on the Green and Orange Lines or a short walk from the Government Center Station on the Green and Blue Lines.
