Hello Friday. April 26 2024 |
We are just five weeks away from the State Primary election on Tues., Sept. 6. This year, the City of Boston created 20 new voting precincts for the upcoming fall elections, increasing the number of precincts from 255 to 275.
Following the 2020 US Census, the City’s Election Department evaluated the precincts and voter experiences from recent elections and made changes to help reduce wait times + increase voter access.
The precincts were officially redrawn in October — the last time Boston redrew the voting precincts was nearly 100 years ago in 1924. At the time, a state appointed commission created the wards + precinct structure that we use today. Check out where you are on the the current precinct map. |
