Want to celebrate the day of thanks, but not planning on cooking a full dinner this year? Don’t quit Thanksgiving cold turkey — we’ve got you covered with where to dine-in + carry-out for a festive feast.
We are totally falling for these local options for mashed potatoes, yams, and pumpkin pie. What could be butter? (Sorry, are our puns too corny? 🌽)
Where to carry-out:

- Pick up a turkey dinner with a brined and roasted turkey, house rolls with honey butter, and New England stuffing. Add in the bourbon-based “harvest punch” for four or the brown butter ice cream.

- Place your wine orders now, and if you’re one of the first 30 to pick up your wine order, you’ll also receive a free pumpkin pie.
Capo Restaurant and Supper Club, 443 W. Broadway, South Boston | Orders must be placed by Mon., Nov. 22.
- Eat dessert first this year and try one or more pies, which you can order traditional for $30 or gluten free for $35. All orders can be picked up Tuesday-Thursday. Pro tip: Don’t miss the gelato to go with your pie.
Rochambeau, 900 Boylston St. | Orders must be placed by Fri., Nov. 19
- This French restaurant is offering green salad with cranberries and goat cheese; brined and roasted turkey; and potato gratin.
State Street Provisions, 255 State St. | Order for pickup on Thanksgiving from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Order for the whole family or for a table for one. Family style sides include honey roasted heirloom carrots + brioche stuffing with apples and rosemary.
Stillwater, 120 Kingston St. | Orders must be placed by Tues., Nov. 23
- Take the sides off your to-do list and try one of these options, which can be ordered in sizes designed for two-four people or six-eight people. Pro tip: Don’t miss the apple crumble pie or the pumpkin cheesecake swirl pie.
Turtle Swamp Brewing, 3377 Washington St., Boylston | Orders must be placed by today.
- Enjoy a Friendsgiving dinner for two from Penny Packers and two pies from Fornax Bread Company. The To-Go bag also includes a mixed Turtle Swamp four-pack, a can of Skwäshbuckle Imperial Porter + a bit of Thanksgiving decor.

- Fenway Sports Group has a deal in the works to purchase NHL team the Pittsburgh Penguins, which is worth approximately $1 billion. The deal would include a real estate component and still needs approval from the NHL Board of Governors. 🐧 (WCVB Channel 5)
Number
- $250,000. The amount that Grace Episcopal Church in Newton will receive from the National Fund for Sacred Places to restore its historic bell tower. The 150-year-old tower is at risk of collapsing from cracking over the years. The funding is part of a matching donation campaign. (Boston Globe)

- The Boston Snowbound Festival that was scheduled for this weekend has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns. The weekend-long festival was planned to take place at Hynes Convention Center. 🏂 (CBS4)
