Yes, you can enjoy fresh Italian food in the North End anytime, but you’ll want to say “buongiorno” this month during this particularly exciting time.

We’re talking Italian feasts, the multi-day festivals that honor a different Italian saint every weekend in August and draw in thousands of visitors with performances, processions + lots of food.

Here are five feasts to check out this month — mark those calendars and try not to get too hungry.

🍽️ Saint Agrippina Feast, Thursday, Aug. 3-Sunday, Aug. 6

Don’t miss the opening ceremony and procession on Thursday from 7 to 11 p.m. Then, stop by for Xtreme Queen on Friday, an Elton John tribute band on Saturday, and the closing ceremony + raffle on Sunday. Pro tip: Grab crowd favorite bites like the fresh shellfish and fried calamari.

🍽️ Fisherman’s Feast | Thursday, Aug. 17-Sunday, Aug. 20

Boston’s oldest continuous Italian festival is known for candy apples, Italian sausages + fresh cannoli. This year’s event will feature the 5th annual Meatball Contest on Saturday and the Famous Flight of Angel on Sunday.

🍽️ Saint Anthony’s Feast | Thursday, Aug. 24-Sunday, Aug. 27

Follow along on Instagram for details on this festival, which began in 1919 and has been called the “Feast of all Feasts” by National Geographic Magazine. Stroll the streets to grab eats from 100+ food carts offering everything from arancini to gelato.
